Nikki Lu is a Scriptwriter/Narrative Designer who loves escaping into the fiction world. She dedicates her time to writing innovative stories that challenge norms, share philosophies, and unlock new perspectives. Nikki believes that games can change the world by resonating with players emotionally.

With Nikki's HBA in Creative Writing and Publishing from Sheridan College, she shares her talents with independent studios, game jams, and a theatre company. Her experience as a game writer, playwright, DEIB consultant, and storyteller allows her to seek new opportunities to create life-changing stories!

Professional Philosphy

Stories are all around us. Real or fictional, they shape our reality. Stories can be a simple fairytale, a journey, a discovery, or an immersive world. Either way, stories create emotions. Emotions spark change.

My job? Create stories that change the world.

Since I was young, I threw myself into stories. I was the little girl who played house all the time. I was the weird theatre kid in high school. Today, I'm the writer who creates transforming narratives that innovate change. Why? Because stories inspire me. Stories inspire the world. Stories are memories that have yet to be shared.

When I create stories, I want to challenge norms and spark new perspectives. We discover the most valuable lessons through characters that are not our own. In a rule-abiding world, audiences need creativity to discover and develop ideas. Stories can help create those ideas through fresh perspectives and innovative ways of escapism. My mission is to create those stories.

My writing ranges from grim, dark experiences to sweet, and comedic stories. Regardless of genre, medium, or theme, I write with a message to the world. Whether it is the strange concept of defining justice, understanding the value of love, or sharing a humourous moment, my audience will feel.
